Chapter 605
Chapter 605:
Caden’s expression was stern as he replied, “It’s been a while since I visited your family.
I thought I’d drop by and say hello.”
Gerry eyed him skeptically, unsure of his intentions.
He had no reason to turn Caden away, but the sleek sports car only had two seats, and there was no way to squeeze him in.
“Maybe another day…” Gerry began.
However, before he could finish, Caden cut him off.
“We’ll take my car.
If you drive that flashy sports car, it will only make your dad angrier.
He might just toss you and the car out of the country.”
Gerry considered this for a moment before nodding in agreement.
After parking his car, Gerry saw Alicia and Caden sitting in the back seat, a dog nestled between them.
He frowned and asked, “You want me to drive?”
Caden smirked.
“Or what?”
Gerry protested, “Do you really expect someone of my status to take the wheel? Isn’t that a bit inappropriate?”
Caden raised an eyebrow and countered, “You drive, and I can guarantee you won’t face any physical punishment today.”
At those words, Gerry’s expression changed instantly.
He climbed into the car with new resolve.
“Being a driver now and then isn’t so bad.
It’s a new life experience.”
In the back seat, Alicia and Caden exchanged a glance.
Their eyes were as cold as ice.
Alicia broke the silence, asking, “Aren’t you supposed to stay home?”
Equally impassive, Caden replied, “Didn’t you say you were bringing Cade?”
Alicia’s lips twitched.
Gently stroking the soft fur of the border collie nestled beside her, she asked, “Are you Cade?”
“Of course,” Caden replied, his tone laced with mischief.
Although Alicia knew Caden was shameless, she hadn’t anticipated his audacity, especially with Gerry in the car.
She sighed and turned to look outside the window.
Caden’s hand reached over the dog and intertwined his fingers with hers.
Alicia wasn’t angry; she let him hold her hand, though she instinctively glanced at Gerry, who was focused on the road.
As time passed, Caden grew restless.novelbin
The dog seemed to take up too much space, so he decided to move it to the front passenger seat.
