The Mafia Bride (Katrina and Silas)

Chapter 10

Katrina's POV

I paced front and back, my hands folded right across my chest.

I hadn't seen Silas in hours and the last thing he said to me was to not break his rules.

Funny that he kept rules when I didn't even want to stay here in the first place.

And I was expected to follow such rules? No way was going to happen.

He kidnapped me against my will, well, I don't think anyone gives their consent to getting kidnapped by their handsome. uncle, but I'd be damned if I just sit here and do what he said.

My stomach growled and I smiled to myself, a plan coming to mind.

I was going to break every rule set out by Silas, and he'd have to send me away

If I remember correctly, his words were, "Don't try to run away, you'll regret it. Don't talk back at my men. Don't talk TO my men. You're not allowed to leave this room, except to get food. No one would be bringing your food to you. You're not a princess. You're to cook your food yourself. Everything you need that's not of great importance, you do it yourself,"

A lot of rules for someone who got kidnapped, I had already broken the first rule, now we'd have to go to the second and

third rule.

Walking to the door, I pulled it open. I was met with hostile stares from the guards and I slapped a smile on my face. Without talking to them, I attempted to walk past but was instantly pulled back

Where are you going?" One of them asked, his grip on my arm tight

"None of your business, I hissed at him, pulling my arm out of his grip.

They both stared at me stunned, clearly unable to believe that I would be able to talk back to them that way,

That breaks the rule of not talking back to them.

"When talking to us, I suggest you talk with respect. The other one growled, taking a step towarzs me.

He looked as if he was going to hit me at any moment, but I didn't back down

Raising my chin and squaring my shoulders, I held his gaze, refusing to back down

"Are you forgetting that I'm your boss's wife?" My tone held so much authority, a brow on my face coming up.

Silas didn't acknowledge our marriage, but he still got married to me.

They couldn't look down at me.

They both turned to each other, throwing her heads back and laughing.

The laughter stopped abruptly and the closer one grabbed my chin, pressing his fingers into my face.

The only thing keeping you alive right now is because I wouldn't like to make the boss a widower for the second time. Pushing our buttons would only get you killed, girl"

I stumbled back when I was pushed away, placing my hand on the wall to balance myself.

Well, that didn't go as planned.

And what did he say! Silas was a widower? How did I not know this?"

I gasped when my arm was grabbed and I was pushed into my room. The door clicked lock, and I cursed at them for locking me inside this room.

My first attempt at going against Silas in a rebellious manner ended up worse than I expected.

Since the first plan didn't work. I had to start plan R.

It wasn't that hard, I was just going to boss the next maid I saw. Every one of them always acted like they were better than I was, even glaring hard at me People who were just servants seemed to lack manners.

Pushing up from the bed, I walked to the bed and rapped, on the door twice.

"Call up a maid for me." I ordered, walking back to the bed to sit down.

I wasn't certain i

if they heard me or not, but I waited.

Thirty minutes later and the door knob clicked, someone pushing it open from the other side.

I watched as a maid walked into my room, a deep scowl on her face.

What do you need?" She asked rudely, glaring hard at me.

How can a servant talk to me that way?

I wasn't part of the family, but I was still married to Silas. Isn't it insulting to him for a maid to look down on his wife?

I recognized her. She had insulted me the day I came here, making a mockery of my father and me.

While I hated my father, I wouldn't let a maid insult me to my face.

Does she have a higher position than I do? Of course not!

Silas might keep quiet when this all was happening, but I wouldn't be doing that.

And it was a good thing that he wasn't at home right now to talk about punishing me.

I had no reason to call up to my room, but that hadn't stopped me from doing that

"Fix your tone while talking to me, I ordered, glaring at her coldly.

"Who do you think you are to talk to me that way?" she growled her eyes wide with anger.Têxt © NôvelDrama.Org.

Pushing to my feet, I walked to where she stood. Her nose flared and she glared down at nie, an act I wouldn't tolerate.

Raising my hand, I let it come down on her cheek hard, a smacking sound echoing through the

e room.

I've always wanted to do that and I felt satisfied for taking my frustration out on someone finally. "You seem to be forgetting that I am married to Silas,"

I was openly talking about my marriage to Silas, even tho he had told me not to expect anything.

It also didn't help that Silas hated me, but then the feeling was mutual

I never wanted to be trapped in his house, unable to come out.

I never wanted any of this.

So maybe I was wrong to hit her just like that, but it wasn't unprovoked.

I paused when I heard footsteps, my eyes going to the door.

Why did that sound like-

The door pushed open just at the same moment the maid fell, tears streaming out of her eyes.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, I shouldn't have said that. Please stop hitting me," She begged me and I turned to her in shock.

What was she talking about!

She made it seem as if I continuously hit her.

"What's happening here?" Silas growled and K turned to the door in shock.

His clothes were covered in blood, making my jaw slack.

Whose blood was that? Was that his? Did he get hurt? And where did he go?

Tasked a question, Silas said when neither I nor the maid replayed to him

You see, 1-1 stuttered, barely able to make a coherent sentence.

As much as I acted as though I was unaffected by it all, I was terrified of Silas.

"She hit me numerous times because I refused to acknowledge her marriage to you. She even threatened that she would throw me out of the house if I didn't,"

My head was shocked, and no words were coming out of my lips

Silas turned to me, his eyes blazing

"What do you have to say, Katrina?

I gulped, staring up at Silas.

I knew whatever I said wouldn't be believed, but I had to play my cards right.

"Actually what happened was-"
