Chapter 506 Things Aren’t That Simple

“How considerate of you!” Natalie said, her tone indifferent.

Compared to Cedric, Irwin indeed seemed more considerate. However, this demeanor carried a sense

of purpose, making it hard for others not to be wary.

Irwin looked at her and chuckled.

“Irwin,” she began.

“Yes?”

“What does that matter mean to you all?” She was referring to the task she had asked Casey to

investigate.

Although she couldn’t pick up the call from Casey before coming to Mount Elven, Natalie speculated

that Irwin’s urgency in bringing her here meant that Casey had uncovered something crucial.

Earlier, when she had assigned Casey the task, there had been tension between Irwin and Cedric.

Natalie became even more curious after seeing their strained interactions.

What did that matter mean to them?!

From a complex relationship, their interactions seemed to have deteriorated to the point of mutual

animosity and revenge.

The underlying issues were indeed perplexing.

“Nat.” Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“Yes?”

“Just this month… Don’t ask about that, alright?”

Natalie’s eyes deepened in response.

He wanted her not to ask about it?!

“For this month, just observe and understand who I truly am. We can discuss the rest later.”

A month felt like an eternity!

“I want to call my dad.”

“Don’t worry, he’ll be fine. I’ve already informed them,” Irwin assured.

“You…!”

Natalie was already a bit agitated, and seeing Irwin’s demeanor only exacerbated her feelings. If she

could calm down now, it would be even stranger.

A broader smile crept across Irwin’s face as he witnessed her increasing frustration.

One month!

Natalie finally understood.

Irwin had always been a man of his word. If he said he wouldn’t do something, he wouldn’t.

He was such a…!

“Regardless of what happens, I’m going back in a month!” Natalie declared, her tone laced with barely

contained anger.

Irwin nodded. “Alright.”

After her reluctant acquiescence, it seemed as though a weight had been lifted off the man’s shoulders

for now.

After all, being in constant turmoil was exhausting.

“There aren’t many ingredients from Mount Elven here. It would be quite a hassle if I had to bring them

over. Try the food, okay? The chef is someone I brought from Verde City.”

“I see.”

Setting aside the depth and complexity of this man, his other aspects seemed genuinely

favorable.

But because of those ten years!

Who knew what lay hidden beneath this apparent mask of his? Thus, regardless of Irwin’s actions,

Natalie maintained an indifferent attitude. She let him do as he pleased.

While Irwin had confined her to Mount Elven, he hadn’t completely shut her out. He ensured she was

informed about everything she wanted to know about the outside world in meticulous

detail.

Upon hearing that Zane had taken Bianca back to Entes Manor, Natalie commented, “It’s different from

Malcolm’s approach towards Bianca.”

Indeed!

It was different.

Malcolm had sought revenge against Bianca. In contrast, although there had been a calculated alliance

between Zane and Bianca, Natalie hadn’t expected Zane to take Bianca to Entes Manor.

However, Irwin interjected, “Things aren’t as simple as they seem.”

“What do you mean?”

“The Entes family’s fourth son, Alto Entes, has a complicated relationship with his wife, Yvette Stewart.

Even the Stewart family has been implicated.”

Yvette Stewart?

“What are you implying?”

“You’re probably unaware of the relationship between Zane and Yvette.”
