The CEO’s Hidden Love Midnight Temptations and Deep Desires

Chapter 1712

By this point, if Miles could've given up, he would've done it ages ago.

But he simply couldn't. It had to be her. No one else would do.

Miles had been by Felicity's side at the hospital, watching her go through a series of tests. When the reports came back showing everything was alright, he finally let out a sigh of relief.

Felicity waved her test results playfully in front of him. "See? I told you I was fine! Probably just ate something that didn't agree with me."

"I needed the doctors to confirm it before I could relax," he replied, a hint of a smile playing on his lips.

She grinned and snuggled into his embrace, her head rubbing against his shoulder like a cat seeking affection. "Alright, Langston, get back to work now!"

"Okay, okay. But you and Abigail be careful on your way to Willowbrook. Call me when you get there."

Felicity gave him an exaggerated salute. "Aye, aye, Captain!"

He tousled her hair affectionately. "That's my girl."

No matter how old Felicity got, Miles always saw her as that mischievous little sister who used to follow him around everywhere.

Aurora was swamped these days.

The art exhibit seemed straightforward enough, and the studio was bustling with people, but Aurora was a perfectionist. She just had to get involved in every little detail herself.

Otherwise, she simply couldn't rest easy.

"Aurora, where do you think we should place this painting? Raymond and I have some ideas. Care to weigh in?"

Aurora nodded, listening intently as her team laid out their thoughts.

After a moment's contemplation, she pointed to a corner of the exhibit space.

"Let's put it over there," she suggested. "This piece conveys a sense of mystery. If it's too prominent, it loses its essence."

Every painting needed to be placed with intention and care.

"Got it!"

Aurora patted her colleague on the shoulder, smiling warmly. "You guys have been amazing. Once this exhibit is over, I'm treating you all to something special!"

"It's no trouble at all, Aurora! Younoveldrama

might not know this, but I love art Spending the whole day surrounded by these paintings, I never feel tired-I absolutely adore it!

Most of Aurora's team were art enthusiasts, practically living and breathing it.

For them, overtime wasn't a burden-it was a joy.

Plus, Aurora was one of the nicest

bosses around. She didn't impose a bunch of unnecessary rules or

restrictions. Her philosophy was

simple: as long as everyone was

happy, that was enough.

Work was self-regulated. Her team was passionate enough to keep themselves in check. And if life threw a curveball, Aurora was always understanding.

"Abigail!"

Felicity's voice rang out before she even entered the room. She was always like this-her presence announced long before she appeared.

Aurora glanced over with a fond smile. "Felicity, with a voice like that, you'd make a fantastic opera singer!"

"Oh, no way! I'm tone-deaf!" Felicity laughed as she bounded over, grabbing Abigail's hand. "We're heading to Willowbrook today. Your brother nearly insisted on tagging along! He's just too swamped with work to make it."

"My brother? He's still worried about you? Even when you're with me?"

"Yeah! He wants me in his sight at all times!"

Aurora understood. Her brother was still anxious about that Calvin Hoffman guy who'd tried to whisk Felicity away once before.
