Chapter 4
"Don't walk around naked, and knock before you enter the bathroom," I continued. He thought for a
moment before he nodded.
"Okay, deal," he agreed. He turned on his heels and went to his bed area. I sighed and dragged my
luggage up the ladder to the loft and began unpacking. This new roommate was going to be a pain in
my ass. He seemed arrogant and hard to handle. After I finished unpacking, I made sure to hide my girl
things inside the bean bag provided in the loft. It was the safest place I could find. I checked my
schedule before checking the time. It was lunchtime and next was sport time. I packed my issued gym
clothes into my backpack quickly. I climbed down to see Leo already grabbing his backpack. He stared
at me as I stared back at him.
"Can I follow you to cafeteria? I don't know where it is," I asked quickly. He sighed before walking past
me.
"Just this once," he allowed. I grabbed my ID, meal card, and room key before chasing after him,
locking the door behind me. As I walked down the corridor next to Leo, people stared. I could tell that
no one really hung out with Leo by their reactions. We left the dorm and took the walking path to the
main building. Inside, we passed the front office and got to the cafeteria. It was huge with tons of
seating and food options. The entire back wall was covered in windows, filtering in a lot of sunlight.
"I take it you can handle it from here," he said as he continued walking. I stopped as I sighed and
shook my head at him. He was so unsociable.
"It's not everyday Leo talks to someone. You must be new here. I'm Easton; swim team," someone said
from behind me. I turned to see a tall guy with blonde hair and hazel eyes. I held out my hand to him.
"I'm Sky; fencing," I smiled back at him. I thought a moment before opening my mouth again.
"Is it common to ask or give your sport when introducing yourself?" I asked curiously. He chuckled and
swung an arm around my shoulders as he led me to the line for food.
"It's expected here. Everyone here is here because they're exceptional at some kind of sport. Most
guys here are Olympic bound. Your sport is apart of your identity," he explained.
"Wait, so you're on the swim team with Leo? How do you deal with him being so prickly?" I asked. He
sighed as we waited in line. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
"He wasn't always like that. He used to be on the junior Olympic team. There wasn't a race he couldn't
win. Last year, some kind of accident happened, and he's been like this ever since. He also couldn't
compete anymore after that. He false starts every time," Easton explained.
"What accident?" I asked. He shrugged.
"No one really knows. It happened during a break. Some say it was a car accident, others think he
witnessed a murder, but it's all speculation," he explained. We got our food before taking a seat at an
empty table.
