Chapter 25
Chapter 25
"Very well," Matthew said calmly, then shifted the topic. "I have no more questions. You can make your request now."
Isaac's heart leaped with joy, and he quickly said, "I hope Mr. Graham can invest in the Kennedy Group."
An investment from Mr. Graham was never a miss! Any industry, project, company, or individual he favored would become highly sought after, with stock prices soaring or personal value skyrocketing, and everyone clamoring to enter the industry or seek
collaboration.
If Mr. Graham were to invest in the Kennedy Group now, it would surely turn their fortunes around.noveldrama
In the dim light, Matthew Graham chuckled softly, and the cat in his lap let out a "meow" its large green eyes fixed on Isaac.
Isaac felt uneasy under the cat's gaze, wondering if it might pounce on him.
"Not possible, Matthew replied. "Try something else."
Isaac felt as if a bucket of cold water had been dumped on him, leaving him frustrated. But he tried to think quickly, hoping to gain some advantage from Matthew.
Unfortunately, his nerves got the best of him, and he couldn't come up with the best answer. Matthew waited for a moment before saying. "You have thirty seconds. After that, the offer expires."
He closed his eyes, waiting leisurely for Isaac's response.
Isaac watched the clock on the wall, sweat forming on his forehead. This was a rare opportunity. If he asked for something too simple, he'd be missing out. On the other hand, if his request exceeded Matthew's expectations, he might end up with nothing.
What was he to do? Gia was still waiting outside...
Walt-Gial
His eyes lit up, and he quickly sent his daughter a text: "Mr. Graham has agreed to grant me a reasonable request. What do you think? Hurry, there's no time."
Less than ten seconds later, he received a reply and was momentarily stunned. Gia's request seemed too simple.
Then he understood her intention and smiled, speaking just in time. "I would like to invite Mr. Graham to attend the opening ceremony of the Kennedy family's jewelry design studio, just for ten minutes.
His daughter Gia was brilliant! This request didn't require Mr. Graham to provide any substantial benefits. Ten minutes wouldn't interfere with his schedule.
However, having someone of Mr. Graham's stature attend the opening ceremony of an eighteen-year-old's startup would draw significant media and industry attention.
What would people think of Mr. Graham's relationship with Gia? This was a win for both Gia and the Kennedy family!
Thinking of this, Isaac felt even more admiration and affection for his daughter.
Matthew paused for two seconds before replying, "If I'm available, I'll go." In other words, if he wasn't available, he wouldn't attend.
Isaac was thrilled, his mind finally clear. He quickly added, "I'll coordinate with your secretary to ensure you're available before setting the date for the studio's opening. Does that work?"
Matthew, having seen many people like Isaac, saw through his little scheme instantly. All Isaac wanted was for him to lend some prestige to the Kennedy family. This request wasn't unreasonable.
So he replied, "Attending for just ten minutes is fine."
Isaac was overjoyed and was about to express his gratitude when Mr. Graham cut him off. "You can leave now."
Unwilling to leave just yet, Isaac hesitantly asked, "Mr. Graham, may I invite you for..."
Before he could finish, he heard, "If you don't leave now, I won't be pleased."
Even with ten times the courage, Isaac wouldn't dare upset Mr. Graham.
So he stood up, bowed deeply, and said, "Then I'll take my leave. Thank you, Mr. Graham, for agreeing to the Kennedy family's request.'
As he exited the suite, Louis quickly closed the door behind him and gestured toward the elevator. "This way, please."
As soon as they entered, Louis closed the elevator door, leaving them with a simple farewell, 'Safe travels.
The father and daughter exchanged glances, both finding Louis as difficult to deal with as Mr. Graham. Once outside the club, Gla asked, "Dad, what did Mr. Graham ask you?"
Isaac recounted his conversation with Mr. Graham to his daughter.
Gia was puzzled. "Why would Mr. Graham ask about that?"
Isaac was equally perplexed. "I can't figure it out either."
He hadn't considered that Mr. Graham might be interested in securing Vission Group's exclusive rights in the West End. After all, the Graham Group was a century-old powerhouse, wealthy enough to rival nations, while Vission Group was a newcomer in the last decade and couldn't compare to the Graham Group, no matter how high-end.
The idea that Mr. Graham would want to work together with Vission Group seemed far-fetched.
Unable to make sense of it, Gia decided not to dwell on it. "It's not for us to understand what someone like Mr. Graham is thinking. As long as he attends my studio's opening ceremony, that's what matters."
As she spoke, she began calculating how to maximize the impact of the ceremony and make it clear to the world that her relationship with Matthew was anything but ordinary.
At that moment, a car slowly pulled up in front of them. Regina waved from inside the car to Isaac and Gla. "You're out! Get in the car."
She, along with Andrew and Zoe, had been eager to see how things turned out and decided to come over.
Once in the car, Gia proudly shared the news that Matthew had agreed to attend the opening ceremony of her studio. The family praised her for her quick thinking and cleverness, confident that she could win over Matthew.
Zoe, who was driving, remained silent. She glanced at Gia's smug, smiling face in the rearview mirror, a hint of disdain curling her lips.
Who was Matthew Graham? Women and talented individuals eager to win him over were as numerous as there were fish in the sea.
Compared to them, what was Gia?
It wouldn't be long before harsh reality shattered Gia's confidence, and then Zoe, as her good friend and sister-in-law, would be there to console her. Thinking this, Zoe felt a bit more at ease.
Suddenly, her phone chimed. She had received an email. Clancing at it, the curve of her lips grew more pronounced.
The private investigator she had hired had sent her an email, Indicating they had captured photos and videos of the Donovan family.
What do you think?
