Chapter 7 My Kiddo

Chapter 7 My Kiddo

Oona casually grabbed a towel and patted her hair dry. Then, she found the tablet that belonged to the original Oona, the one most of the Walsh family despised for her mental limitations despite the fierce love of her biological parents.

With a hacker’s touch, Oona infiltrated the bar’s security system and erased her image from the footage. Then, with a few taps on the tablet, she called over the internet. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

It only rang twice before a nonchalant voice answered. “Speaking!”

“It’s me,” Oona said, her voice as cold as ice.

The person on the other end instantly switched to a respectful and excited tone. “Boss! Why are you calling through the internet?”

Cot into a situation. Couldn’t go back for now.” Oona stated coolly

“What happened? You okay? Where are you? I’ll get you on my private jet right away!” The man’s voice was filled with worry now that he knew Oona was in trouble.

“Stay put. I got this” Oona ended the call abruptly.

Meanwhile, a world away at Fort Carnage Elite Base, a handsome man’s jaw hit the floor as Oona hung up. He immediately. ordered his subordinates to track the internet call’s IP address.

“Capt, that ain’t gonna work. Boss clearly doesn’t want to be found. No point in wasting your effort” one of them scoffed.

The handsome man sighed in frustration.

Meanwhile, Clayton received a report from his subordinate within the Royal Villa in Brookville.

“We discovered skilled hackers already wiped the security footage from the bar and the underground arena before we could act. The bar’s been sealed off now, and the Dubin family’s behind it all!”

Clayton’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he was not surprised by the news. He ordered, “Get the news out!”

He’d been holding a grudge against the Dubins for a while now.

Suddenly, a different thought hit him. “Did my kiddo make it home safe? Clayton wondered, a small smile flashing at the thought of his fiery wife.

His subordinates couldn’t help but snicker under their breath. “Ugh, gross! Who calls their wife ‘my kiddo? Boss is such a creep!”

“Gustama Court has confirmed Ms. Walsh arrived home at 10:25 PM. another subordinate reported respectfully

“Good. Keep those Goetz creeps on your radar. Make sure that jerk stays away from her.” Clayton’s face turned ice–cold at the thought of his family.

Yet, in a twisted way, he owed a debt of gratitude to a few rotten family members. If they hadn’t tried to screw him over, he wouldn’t have met Oona, much less married her.

Those scumbags wanted him to marry some useless retard, but Oona was anything but! She was cute as a button and had a fiery spirit to boot!

The thought of Oona warmed Clayton’s usually cold and distant gaze, adding a touch of fondness. It hit him that he should start thinking about ways to spoil his kiddo wife!

The following day, news of the bar incident and its underground arena involving the Dubin family spread like wildfire.

However, Oona wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the reports. They successfully kept her out of it.

Around ten in the morning, Oona was woken up by several phone calls.
