Chapter 39
When Sabrina fainted, Amanda shouted, "Ms. Wyatt?"
Amanda pinched Sabrina's face and scrutinized her when she didn't respond. She wondered how there could be someone as stunning as Sabrina. As a woman, she couldn't help but glance at Sabrina several times.
Sabrina was beautiful and had a shapely figure. Amanda turned and glanced at the chubby George, who was 50 years old. She thought he was fortunate to be able to get his hands on Sabrina.
"Hurry up. I've already hidden the pinhole camera. I'll wait outside for Oliver to prevent him from coming in to mess things up."
After Amanda was done talking, she made a call as she walked out.
"Don't worry. Everything is under control. I'm sure you'll be satisfied."
Amanda trusted George. He had already set his sights on Sabrina as soon as she joined the industry.
Much to his disappointment, Sabrina didn't use her beauty to her advantage. Instead, she was a workaholic who made a name for herself through her own efforts.
Moreover, Jackson held her in high regard. Thus, no one dared to mess with her.
George carried Sabrina out of the restroom and threw her onto the couch. He was about to take his pants off when his phone rang.
The unconscious Sabrina opened her eyes and grabbed an ashtray from the coffee table while George was distracted by the call.
"Get her face on the camera?"
George wondered what grudge this person had against Sabrina. If her face were to be captured on camera, she would be scorned everywhere she went, not just Slitton.
George hung up and paused momentarily. After all, he only wanted to have his way with Sabrina. He didn't intend to mess her up completely.
He ultimately defied the orders of the person on the other end of the phone. Sabrina hit his head with the heavy ashtray as soon as he turned.
"Damn it. You bitch!"
George didn't expect her to fake being unconscious. He grimaced with pain.
Instead of running toward the door, Sabrina ran toward the dining table.
When George caught her arm, she grabbed the fork on the table and forcefully stabbed him in the shoulder.
George initially wanted to treat Sabrina tenderly. In the end, he got angry because he didn't expect a beauty like her to be so cruel. He grew fierce and slapped her across the face.
Sabrina was drugged and couldn't put up much of a fight. Thus, George figured he could pin her down.
Sabrina became dizzy and collapsed onto the dining table. She grabbed another fork off the table and stabbed it in George's face. There wasn't an opportunity for George to get close to her because of her erratic behavior.
George's head was bleeding, and there was a fork stuck in his shoulder. He was in so much pain that he started to feel dizzy, causing him to fall to his knees.
Only then did Sabrina run toward the door. She was glad that Amanda wasn't there. Her vision was blurring up again. She used all of her strength to run outside while trying to call Oliver. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
Suddenly, someone exited the room next door. Sabrina couldn't clearly see who it was, yet she felt that the person's tall figure looked familiar. She couldn't get to him in time and collapsed to the ground, completely slipping into unconsciousness.
Before Justin could answer his phone, Sabrina collapsed beside him with a thud. He was startled.
He felt that the person's long, curly hair and figure looked familiar. When he crouched down, he brushed aside a lock of hair and was surprised to find that it was someone he knew.
…
Nelson listened to the reports with his elbows resting on the conference table.
When he received a WhatsApp message, he ignored it. He hadn't been checking his phone for the past few days.
Dylan received a WhatsApp message from Justin. It said, "What is Nelson up to?"
Dylan discretely took a photo of the ongoing meeting and sent it to Justin.
Justin replied with a short video and a text saying, "Okay, then I won't disturb him."
Dylan intended to watch the video at a later time but accidentally played the video instead. A woman's weak and seductive voice echoed through the room.
Everyone in the meeting looked at Dylan in unison, thinking he was "slacking off" and watching a video.
Nelson turned and chided mercilessly, "Are you thinking about women right now?"
At first, Dylan was so embarrassed that he wanted to find a hole to crawl into. But he was shocked when he saw Sabrina's face. His phone almost slipped out of his hand. Then, his expression hardened.
Nelson glanced at Dylan's phone, and his eyes darkened. With a stoic expression, he took out his phone and viewed the photos sent by Justin. In one of the photos, Sabrina's face was swollen beyond recognition.
