My Invincible Husband Has Returned

Chapter 77

Chapter 77

Cheryl lost it, never imagining Liam would have the guts to strike her in front of an audience. She furiously stamped her foot and yelled, Wasyl, look what he did! I've been hit. Look at what he did to my face!"novelbin

Wasyl snapped into action, rushing over with rage written all over his face. He pointed at Liam and bellowed, "You had the nerve to hit my girlfriend? Who do you think you are? I can make one call, and you'll be run out of Drunham City! Apologize to her now, or else, none of you will get out of here alive!"

With that, Wasyl turned to Celena and Jovie, his sneer turning into a lewd smile. "Celena sure looks nice, even tastier than before..."

Boom!

In the next instant, Liam kicked Wasyl with contempt, sending him sprawling at his feet. His eyes blazed with a killer's intent, like a grim reaper straight from hell. He sternly said, Anyone who talks to me better show some respect!"

Celena and Jovie were Liam's treasures, and badmouthing them was a surefire way to seal their fate!

The whole room inhaled sharply.

That was an outright challenge, a brutal blow to the prestige of the Stone family!

Cheryl's eyes blazed with fury as she clutched her cheek, looking menacingly. "Celena, don't you dare forget, you're no longer one of the Stones. Wasyl is the Abbott family's golden boy. Do you think you can mess with him?"

Celena stood rooted to the spot, her hand over her mouth and her eyes wide with shock. Cheryl's words snapped her back to reality, and she quickly grabbed Liam's arm, pulling him back.

"I'm so sorry! He's just back from the service and is a little hot-headed. We'll apologize and cover any medical costs. We'll just go now..."

"Mom, don't say sorry to them! They're the bad guys, the ones who bully you. They got what they deserved!" Jovie might not have been able to see, but she heard everything. Her dad had stood up for them, which made her heart swell. It was not until she heard Celena's apologies.

Celena's heart raced with fear. She scooped Jovie into her arms and covered her mouth, her face drained of color. "I'm really sorry. We're leaving right this second!"

"Compensate? With what? Do you think you can hit me and just walk away? I won't let this slide. I'll have you begging for mercy!" Wasyl rose, brushing off a speck of dust from his pants, his eyes shooting daggers at Liam and Celena.

"Still got a sharp tongue? Looks like you haven't learned your lesson," Liam retorted, his voice icy.

Snap!

"Enough!"

Reginald, seated at the head of the table, brought his hand down hard, the sound echoing through the room. He looked displeased, his gaze icy as he fixed it on Celena. "Celena, do you really think I've lived too long, that you want to send me to an early grave?

"Grandpa, that's not it... I just wanted to come back to celebrate your birthday!" Celena's eyes brimmed with tears as she frantically tried to explain. She quickly pulled out the gift she had prepared and rushed to present it to Reginald.

"Grandpa, this is what I brought for you!"

However, Reginald did not take the gift. Instead, he shoved away the present Celena offered, and the beautiful gift box crashed to the floor. The glass jar inside broke, spilling the black ointment it contained!
