Chapter 13
Chapter 13
"Well, Mommy, don't worry, I will behave myself and be a good boy! Can I go to the lounge to play?" Zephaniah asked.
Vivianna needed to focus when she made her designs. Jessamyn wanted the design draft in a short time, and she really needed to focus right now.
She nodded, but she also warned him sternly, "You can play by yourself, but you are not allowed to go out of the company. You aren't allowed to cause any trouble, understand?"
"Got it, mommy," The little guy answered quickly. NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
Vivianna didn't worry about her son because she trusted her son. Since he was born, she never had to worry about him.
"Go!" Vivianna watched him go out with a smile.
As soon as the little fellow went out, he looked around with his large eyes. He looked at the pyramidlike building through the French windows, and he seemed resolute and determined.
Now, it was the best chance for him to go out. He had to seize this opportunity.
Zephy was rather small in size. No one saw him when he sneaked out. As soon as he went out, he ran quickly. Despite running quickly, when crossing the road, he still followed the traffic rules and slowed down to look left and right before crossing. It took him 15 minutes to arrive at Giltstone Enterprise. He stood in front of the building, as it towered over his small body. He looked relatively tiny compared to the gigantic building, and he could easily be ignored by all passersby.
When he thought of the fact that Augustine was sitting somewhere in this magnificent skyscraper, his little heart started to beat with excitement. He could not help but let out a quiet 'Wow!', as he marveled at the sight of the building.
Like a fearless young calf, he rushed forward bravely. He walked into the hall carrying his small backpack. The little fellow was courageous and he had a plan. He looked left and right, and then he thought of the fastest way to meet Augustine.
Zephy blinked his large, adorable eyes as he walked towards the pretty receptionist. He raised his tiny face, and he commenced with his 'face-scanning' plan.
Several staff members at the front desks saw him and they looked at each other in amazement. Where did this cute little boy come from?
"Is there anything I can help you with?" someone asked.
"I'm here to see my uncle," he said.
"Your uncle? What is your uncle's name?"
"His name is Augustine Giltstone. Can you bring me to meet him?" The little guy looked at the group of ladies with a pleading expression.
"Oh my god! This little kid looks identical to President Giltstone!" They exclaimed.
"Are you the young master of the Giltstone family? Why don't you have bodyguards with you?" the lady at the front desk asked in puzzlement.
"I don't like them following me, so I asked them to wait outside. I want to see my uncle. Please bring me upstairs!" After the little fellow finished saying this, he raised his face again. It was so similar to Augustine's, and his large watery eyes were charming indeed.
One of the receptionists seized this golden opportunity to meet the President and walked out from behind the counter. "Okay, I'll take you there."
After all, it was a great honor to serve President Giltstone's relatives. Moreover, she might even have the opportunity to see the President himself!
The little fellow took her hand cheerfully and walked to the elevator. Zephy followed the receptionist into the elevator. His large eyes were clearly filled with excitement, as his plan had succeeded.
"Kid, what's your name?" The receptionist bent down and looked at him carefully.
"My name is Zephaniah Giltstone." The little fellow made up a lie. Now, he only needed to meet Augustine and give him his Mommy's resume.
"It's such a nice name!" The receptionist did not doubt him, as the little boy looked very much like the members of the Giltstone family.
The elevator went all the way up. When it reached the 60th floor, it stopped. Zephy immediately took note to remember the floor number, and then followed the receptionist as she walked ahead.
Walking down the corridor, a woman in a dark suit stopped them. She looked very smart, capable and professional.
"What's the matter?" the woman asked.
"Hi, Assistant Yallop, this is President Giltstone's nephew. I've sent him up," The receptionist said with a smile.
Assistant Yallop was stunned. She lowered her head and looked at the little boy. She frowned and said, "Are you President Giltstone's nephew?"
