Love at the Door

Chapter 37

Chapter 37

Not everyone could handle extreme challenges like this. For those who were easily frightened, such an experience could leave lasting psychological scars. Knowing that Melina feared heights and still tricked her into riding the roller coaster was sheer malice.

Screams echoed through the wind.

Andrew’s voice cut through the chaos, “Do you want another round?”

“N–No.”

“We’re sorry, Mr. Wentworth.”

“We’re done. We apologize.”

Andrew frowned, and the entire group fell into a terrified silence. Everyone knew that Andrew was a demon. Anyone who angered him would be handled brutally.

Andrew seemed dissatisfied.

“Done already? That won’t do. I decide when you’re going to be done. You lot are getting bold. How dare you mess with what’s mine.”

The roller coaster started again.

Even those not afraid of heights couldn’t handle the endless ride. The screams turned to sobs, and their voices were hoarse.

When Andrew finally called for the ride to stop, the group looked just as pale as Melina had earlier. Some could barely stand, others were vomiting by the side of the path, and a few had even passed out.

Andrew held onto Melina and watched them blankly as if this was merely a game for him.

The group looked back at him, their eyes filled with fear, yet they were

too scared to show it outright.

Andrew suddenly felt bored. Nothing in this world interested him

anymore.

Just then, he felt a small hand clutching his clothes.

He looked down and saw Melina holding onto him, calling his name softly, “Andrew.”

Her voice was weak and hoarse but soft, tugging at his heartstrings.

The way she called his name seemed to pull him back to reality. People rarely addressed him with his name.

Only Melina did that. Unlike everyone else who called him “Mr. Wentworth,” she always called him Andrew, sometimes even “Mister.”

At that moment, Melina seemed to sense something off in Andrew’s mood. Despite his menacing aura, there was a coldness in his eyes that she couldn’t quite understand as if he were walking a lonely road.

She wondered if he ever felt alone.

All Melina wanted to do was call his name for no reason. She just

needed to call out to him.

She didn’t even know what she felt anymore.

Andrew was harsh and cruel, and sometimes, he made things difficult for her. He even humiliated her with the contract and tried to push her away. Yet he took care of her when she was sick. He’d become more gentle toward her. And now, he had saved her from the terror of

the roller coaster.

Andrew wouldn’t know what his presence meant to Melina. Just like Joe, he had saved her at her most desperate moment. Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.

That was enough for Melina to forgive all of Andrew’s past deeds.

Andrew carried Melina to the car. He was still holding her in his arms.

He either forgot to put her down or chose not to. Melina didn’t push him away, either

either

Suddenly, Andrew tilted her chin up and said seriously, “Melina, you’re mine. If someone dares to mess with you, fight back! Don’t let anyone get away with it!”

Andrew didn’t regret any of his actions; he just didn’t like seeing her so defeated.
