However, the person who was invited did not consider this an honor.
"No, thanks." Margaret rejected straight away.
"Why? Are the benefits not good enough?" Charleston raised his eyebrows.
Did this little one not enter the entertainment industry to become famous?
With all the fortune he had, she would not have to worry about resources at all. He could make
Margaret a superstar with just a snap of his fingers.
"It's not about the benefits. I already have a contract with Galaxy Entertainment. I will have to pay 80
million dollars if I were to end the contract, unless Galaxy Entertainment does it first. Besides, Galaxy Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
Entertainment isn't bad either." Margaret answered calmly.
"I'll pay for all that. Also, I did my homework; turns out the name of Galaxy Entertainment's CEO is
Zachary. If I remember correctly, that would make him your ex-boyfriend." Charleston said
disapprovingly.
80 million dollars was nothing to him.
He just did not want his woman to be under her ex-boyfriend's company.
This immediately upset Margaret. "Who are you to me, anyway? Why should I accept your kindness?"
She questioned.
Charleston did not know what to say.
That's right. Who was he to Margaret?
The air seemed to have frozen over. After a long while, Margaret heard Charleston answered, "I will
marry you, and you will become Mrs. Limbaugh."
Once Charleston made up his mind about wanting a person, it was for life.
And Charleston wanted Margaret.
He wanted her so, so badly.
When Margaret heard him say this, she was slightly startled. She lifted the corners of her mouth and
said, "Mr. Limbaugh, stop joking around."
"Do you think I'm joking?" Charleston said, his voice stern and serious.
Margaret stared into his eyes, looking for a hint of mischief. But she only saw determination.
She could not help but to shake her head in annoyance. She held onto the seat and said, "Impossible."
"The word 'impossible' does not exist in my dictionary. As long as you agree, the title 'Mrs. Limbaugh'
will be yours." Charleston said, smiling confidently and assuringly at her.
Margaret was silent for a moment. At last, she only said, "I want to go home."
"Okay." Charleston responded. He ordered Larry to stop the car at Margaret's house.
"Think about it carefully. I'll ask you again after some time." Charleston's voice was very gentle, but his
eyes were glowing with determination.
The intensity of the passion in them was overwhelming.
His stare made Margaret's scalp tingle. She could not help but to run away the first chance she got.
Margaret finally got home. She let out a sigh of relief and took a relaxing, exhaustion-removing bath.
Charleston's words resonated in her mind for a bit before eventually fading away.
She had a bitter smile on her face. "Think about Charleston's status. Do you really believe that he
wants to marry you?" Margaret asked herself internally.
"Wake up, Margaret. Stop dreaming. He just wants to toy around with you." She thought to herself.
Margaret slapped her face lightly and laid down on her bed. She had wanted to call Beanie, but when
she thought of the time difference between Haverland and Milesburg, she decided to put her phone
away.
She went to bed early instead.
As Ancient Star was a short advertisement clip, its shooting hours were not very long. The scene she
was about to shoot was for the final few frames of the clip.
It entailed Margaret and Stephanie standing side by side.
Margaret would wear a red dress, representing the enchanting and passionate Tiana.
Stephanie would don a white dress, which represented the gentle and kind Queenie.
