Chapter 2 Spiked Juice
Margaret was still in a state of confusion when she returned to the Simons family.
While she was dragging her heavy footsteps upstairs, and walking past Stephanie's room, she
suddenly heard a voice saying, "Please... Zac, don't..."
Zac... Margaret thought of her boyfriend, Zachary Whelan.
Without a second thought, Margaret pushed the door open and entered.
She stood by the door, peaked inside and saw two intertwined figures on the large, soft bed.
Margaret saw the two figures clearly. One was her boyfriend, and the other was her sister. Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
It was summer, but Margaret's body felt extremely cold all over.
"Zac, what if my sister found out about this? You have been with her for three years. I shouldn't have
interfered with your relationship, but I really love you..."
As Stephanie spoke, her beautiful eyes glistened with tears. She looked as if she was ready to burst
into tears and let the waterworks begin.
"You silly girl. Your sister will understand because we truly love each other." Zachary felt sad when
Stephanie acted like this.
"Really?" Stephanie asked in a delicate voice.
"Yes. I'll shower first. Be good and wait for me." Zachary replied gently. He then got up and hopped into
the shower quickly.
As the sound of running water came from the bathroom, Stephanie got out of bed and faced Margaret.
"Margaret..." she muttered.
She had already noticed Margaret's presence earlier.
Stephanie slowly walked towards Margaret. She thought Stephanie would at least try to come up with
excuses for the earlier scene.
However, Stephanie spoke to her in a delightful tone, "Margaret, you didn't come back last night.
Where did you go?"
Margaret grabbed Stephanie's wrist and said hoarsely, "Stephanie, shouldn't you be the one explaining
the current situation to me?"
Stephanie shrugged and replied, "It's as you saw. Zac and I have been together for a long time."
Margaret's face turned much paler. "That's impossible. Why would Zachary betray me..."
"Stop being in denial, Margaret." Stephanie snapped, "Though I'd really like to know where did you go
yesterday?"
Stephanie's words were like salt pouring over Margaret's wounds.
Her boyfriend, the person she had been in love with for three years, cheated on her with her own sister.
And her virginity had been snatched away by a man she had never met.
Margaret felt that her entire life was meaningless.
"Forget it. Here's the truth. I spiked the juice you drank yesterday, and I deliberately asked someone to
lead you to a room after you downed the d*mned thing. I could even hear your dissatisfied screams
from outside the room." Stephanie said as she pulled Margaret's sleeve up, revealing the marks the
man left on her the night before.
"You..." Margaret was furious and could no longer suppress her anger. She grabbed the vase next to
her and was about to smash it on Stephanie.
Right before she did, a pair of strong hands grabbed her tightly on her arm, and the vase crashed
loudly onto the ground instead.
Margaret trembled and looked up at Zachary, who was standing in front of her.
"Zac, I'm so scared." Stephanie changed her expression almost instantly, as she leaned herself weakly
into Zachary's arms.
"Don't be afraid. I'm here now." Zachary said as he looked at Margaret dead in the eyes. "Margaret,
since you've found out about our relationship, let's break up. I love Stephanie while I've always treated
you as my own sister."
After a pause, Zachary glanced at the marks on Margaret's arm and continued, "Since you have also
been with somebody else, we do not owe each other anything more regarding this matter."
