Rory stepped up, catching everyone off guard. He glanced at Teddy sprawled on the ground, his brow furrowed so tightly it seemed like it could snatch a fly out of the air. The lady had come all this way, only to witness such chaos. Jacob and Carly, her friends, had nearly faced humiliation right in front of her. The thought made Rory's expression harden even more. Jacob, noticing Rory's face dark as a storm cloud, felt his knees go weak. This is it. We're toast. Carson looks like he might just flatten us with a look!

Jacob wasn't sure how much Rory had seen-whether he'd caught Flora in action-but he instinctively stood by her. Flora had defended them; they couldn't let her take the fall.

"Uh, Mr. Carson! It was me, really!" Jacob stammered, trying to muster courage. "If you're gonna punish someone, it should be me!"

"I was in on it too!" Carly chimed in quickly. "We were tag-teaming!"

Rory just stood there, baffled. Did they think he was blind? He'd seen it all. Just the two of them taking down Teddy? Mixed doubles, huh? They had some nerve!

"Carson, she did it! She's the one who messed up my hand!" Teddy growled through the pain, nearly shouting, "Arrest her, quick!"

"Don't listen to him, Mr. Carson! He's out of his mind, babbling nonsense!" Jacob protested.

"It was her! Believe me, Mr. Carson, it was this woman!" Teddy howled. "I'm Kenneth's brother-in-law, we're on the same team!"

Kenneth's brother-in-law? That Kenneth again. Rory's eyes flashed with a fierce glint, his icy stare locked onto Teddy. "I know. I saw everything."

He'd witnessed the whole thing, clear as day, how Flora had taken Teddy down with such ease. Carly and Jacob turned pale at Rory's words. If he'd seen it all, what would happen to Flora?

Teddy, almost in tears from relief, cried out, "I knew it, Mr. Carson, you're wise and strong! You saw Flora ruin my hand, right? So, arrest her already!"

out a harsh laugh, "You think you

can mess with her? How about I

take care of your other hand first!"

In his anger, Rory kicked Teddy over. "Who do you think you are, treating this place like your playground?"

Teddy, dazed by the kick, stammered, "Mr. Carson..."

Why did he kick me?

"Mr. Carson!" urgent voices called out. Hawthorn and Kenneth hurried over, having heard the commotion. They'd rushed to the scene, just in time to see Rory's boot landon Teddy.

Startled, they dashed over. "Mr. Carson, what's Teddy done to make you this mad?" Kenneth asked, trying to sound casual as he shot Teddy a glance, forcing a chuckle.

His eyes drifted to Flora. It was her-the woman from the Mortal World. How did she end up here?

"Brother-in-law, you're finally here!" Teddy almost sobbed with relief. "It's Flora! She's the one who hurt me. You've got to arrest her!"
