Falling For My Mysterious Wife

Falling For My Mysterious Wife By Cassidy Alfaro Free Chapter 18

Chapter 18

In a hospital in New York.

As soon as Elaina got off work, she received a call from Theodore. Knowing that he was at the entrance of the hospital, Elaina immediately changed her clothes and rushed to meet him.

“Theodore.” Seeing Theodore leaning against the car not far away, Elaina smiled and waved at him.

She went to Theodore and said, “Why did you suddenly come over?”

“Didn’t you ask me to help? I got the news.” Theodore smiled at her, his eyes filled with affection.

Hearing this, Elaina was surprised. “You got the news so soon?”

“Yes.”

After that, Theodore handed a paper he had prepared long ago to Elaina and said, “This company is interested in buying the Gansburg family’s batch of goods. Let the Gansburg family contact them.”

“Wow…” Elaina held the document in disbelief.

She was surprised that things went so smoothly.

“Theodore, you’re so amazing. You got this already!” She could not help but exclaim in surprise.

Theodore reached out to stroke her head and said, “I take everything about you to my heart.”

In fact, from the moment he received Elaina’s call, Theodore had not rested for a moment and kept looking for the information just to help Elaina solve the problem as soon as possible.

After all, this was the first time she had asked him for help in so many years.

“Well, you treat me the best. Let’s go. I’ll treat you to a meal,” she acted like a spoiled child and said.

“Great. I’m gonna rip you off.” Theodore nodded, and they sat left, talking and laughing.

In the restaurant, Elaina sent the documents to Jenica and told her to contact the other company as soon as possible. Elaina finally felt relieved.

“You said that Jalen stopped working with the Gansburg family because Jenica spoke ill of Jalen?” Theodore

asked as he picked up some food for her.

Elaina nodded and complained, “The Gansburg Group’s business cooperation was suspended the next day

after Jenica spoke ill of Jalen. I didn’t expect he would be so petty.”

Theodore shook his head when he heard that. He said to Elaina, “Based on my understanding of Jalen, he

won’t be that willful. There should be another reason for stopping working with the Gansburg Group.”

Jalen was the one who made the Halton Group prosper. He would definitely not make such a willful decision.

In fact, Elaina thought the same, but it happened so coincidentally that she could not help but think of this.

“So why do you think he did it?” she asked. She did not know much about business.

Theodore was silent for a moment and then said, “If he stopped cooperating with the Gansburg family, he would have to find a new supplier, right? We will see who’s behind this when the beneficiary appears.”

Elaina saw light suddenly and said, “I will ask Andrew to help me check it.”

“Okay.” Theodore nodded and did not object.

As they chatted and ate, an unpleasant voice sounded in their ears, causing Elaina to frown.

“Dr. Gainsford? I didn’t expect to meet you here,” Marie smiled and looked very happy.

Compared to Marie, Jalen, who was standing beside her, was not so happy. He always kept a cold face as if

he was offended.

Elaina suppressed her displeasure and turned to look at Marie, saying, “Yes, what a coincidence.”

“How about we share the table? We can chat a lot!” Marie suggested. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

“No. I don’t want Mr. Halton to degrade himself to share tables with others,” Elaina said with a frown.

That’s Jalen. Shouldn’t he have his own private room? He will feel embarrassed to sit in the hall with us,

Elaina thought.

“Jalen, what do you think?” Marie seemed not to hear Elaina’s reluctance and turned to ask Jalen.
