Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 2069

Beck's gaze landed on Stella.

Stella clutched her throat, her eyes brimming with involuntary tears.

Morgan was still fuming, "Just you wait!"

Beck was taken aback by Morgan's attitude towards his sister, his brows furrowing in concern.

After coughing for a few minutes, Stella managed a laugh towards Beck.

"Beck, you should go. Thanks for walking me home."

A pang of something bitter and complicated hit Beck's heart. He opened his mouth to speak but found himself at a loss for words.

In Stella, he saw a resignation to fate, a smile that seemed to shrug off life and death alike. It was as if she had accepted her uncertain future, living each day as it came.

He got back into his car, deep in thought, before finally rolling down the window.

"You're a Sanders, for heaven's sake. Don't let just anyone push you around."

Stella stood there, hand still on her neck, silent.

As Beck drove off, he could still see her through his rearview mirror, standing alone.

After waiting a bit, Stella entered the living room to find almost everything smashed - clearly Morgan's handiwork.

Morgan strode in, his gaze cold and lifeless.

"Stella, I'd think twice about crossing Bonnie if I were you. You can't even imagine what I'm capable of."

But Stella ignored his threat and headed for her room.

Morgan grabbed her wrist, his eyes flashing with anger.

"Are you sure you want to keep this up? I know Bonnie used to bully you, but wasn't it deserved? If you hadn't provoked her, would she have bothered you? Let me make it clear, Bonnie is my queen, and you better think about the consequences." Stella shook off his grip, her laughter masking the absurdity of the situation.

"Morgan, if your sister died because of you, would you feel any remorse?"

The disgust in Morgan's eyes was unmistakable as he retorted without thinking.

"You're alive, aren't you? If you really died, I'd celebrate with fireworks."

Stella's heart skipped a beat, a sad realization dawning on her. Morgan would never regret his actions.

"I should show her what kind of person she was dealing with."

After murmuring to herself, she headed back to her room to check on some progress.

"Stella, the video is still up on the forum. Morgan found out he's been cuckolded and went after Alan in a rage last night. But he's no match for Alan; they're completely at odds now."

en

A smirk crossed Stella's face.

"And Alan?"

"He's still entangled with his ladies, not just Bonnie. But Bonnie's his favorite, probably for the thrill of it being forbidden, his brother's girl and all."

Such twisted games they played.

"Stella, what's your next move?"

"I'll have Dad cut off Morgan's funds,

and you lead him into taking

high-interest loans. Avoid the

underground casinos; I've heard they have ties with the Sanders family."

"Got it. What about the JG crew? They're the next toughest bunch after the casinos."

Stella fell silent for a moment before responding, "Let's go with them.'

After hanging up, she glanced at her wrist, covered with scars from past suicide attempts, now hidden beneath red bracelets.

She stared out the window until her eyes grew sore, then slowly closed them.

That evening, Boris came home.

Stella recounted her carefully prepared story, including Bonnie's affair with Morgan. As expected, Boris exploded, demanding Morgan to "Kneel."

Morgan glared at Stella, blaming her for his misfortune.

"Dad, Stella must've set this up. Bonnie would never betray me; she once saved my life."

"Kneel down!"

Fearing his father's wrath, Morgan knelt immediately. The lash that followed made him realize Boris was serious this time.

He hadn't been punished like this before.

The pain was unbearable, and Morgan scrambled to his feet.

"Dad, it's clear there's no place for me here anymore. Ever since she came into our lives, I've been miserable. I'm leaving for good this time."Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Morgan had threatened to leave before, usually as a tactic to get more money from Boris.

But Boris, thinking it was the same old act, pointed towards the door.

"Fine, leave. And don't come back! Show some backbone for once and stay gone for more than a week Come crawling back, and I'll have lost all respect for you."

Despite his humiliation, Morgan, still a man of pride, stormed out without looking back. Boris immediately ordered, "Cut off all his cards. Let's see how long he lasts out there."
