James’ pov

“Fuck!” I cursed once again, rolling out of the bed. I had no idea I had awoken Blair up that way until I

glanced down at her to see her awake, blinking up at me.

After the very long and much needed hug we exchanged last night, she didn’t ask me anything, which I

had liked so much because I hadn’t felt like talking about it at all. But, she had comforted me

thoroughly, promising me that she was here for me, and it was as if that was all that I needed to hear,

because after those words, the uncoordinated mess in my head all came to a standstill. Ccontent © exclusive by Nô/vel(D)ra/ma.Org.

After we both existed the basement, she forced me into taking a shower while she microwaved the

food, and even though I had little to no appetite, I still got more thing in my stomach than I had done

since the morning I had been informed of Aria’s death.

When I got into her bedroom with her last night, she didn’t question it or send me pot, instead, she had

tugged me into the bed with her, which was all the encouragement I needed to slip beneath the blanket

with her and cuddle against her like I wanted to crawl beneath her skin.

As she stroked my hair, I felt this confused but soothing aura enveloped me, and it didn’t take long for

my eyes to began to feel heavy. She was smelling so damn good, her scent filled up my nose

deliciously, making me feel like I was drunk on her.

Before finally falling asleep, I asked myself what the rest of the mafia clans would say should they see

me in this current situation right now. The thought was quick to dissolve away because I knew damn

well that this was just how Luca was behind doors, if not worse than this. And with that thought in mind,

I ended up falling asleep.

“Did I wake you up? I’m so sorry, please go back to sleep.” I murmured softly, hands reaching out to

move her hair out of her face. Sleep still filled up and eyes and it was obvious that she still needed

more sleep. She let out a little yawn and nodded her head a little, right before her eyes slid close.

As I existed the bedroom, my fingers were moving super fast against the screen of my phone,

responding to multiple messages at once.

“Fuck.” I let out once again, because I already knew that this wasn’t going to end well in any way.

But, I’m living for it.

I had planned to take those fools’ lives anyways. I hadn’t expected Luca to do that last night, especially

without torturing them at all. Well, it was obvious that he had been too furious to even consider inflicting

torture on them last night.

With a scowl, I began to speak as soon as he accepted the call.

“You asshole, you killed them off just like that, without making them suffer at all.”

Luca let out a grunt before he spoke.

“I didn’t really think it through, I just wanted to get revenge last night when I killed them.”

I regarded myself in the mirror located in my bedroom as I responded. “Well, you should have. You also

denied me the pleasure of getting revenge on them.

Luca let out a sigh this time. “Don’t give me this bullshit right now. You know that kill was for the both of

us.”

I rolled my eyes a little. “You should have dragged out their deaths.”

“Yeah, I really should have.” Luca agreed almost immediately, voice sounding flat.

“How do you feel?” I asked after a few moments. Luca let out a snort and I knew he was currently

shrugging his shoulders right now.

“Like crap, but better. You?”

“Same, man. Same.” I echoed out.

“How does everyone know you’re the one behind the deaths?” I asked this time.

“Because I left their guards alive on purpose.”

I let out an exhale this time as I responded. “Everywhere is currently blowing up. The news has spread

through the entire mafia, and since no one else knows about the actual reason why you shot those

boys, everyone, including the boys’ mafia, are all going to assume you did it to challenge their mafia

clan.”

Luca snorted this time. “Why would anyone think that? Why would I even ever want to challenge a

mafia that my mafia is two times bigger than, and also seeing how I never do something like that on a

normal day.”

I rolled Luca’s response in my mind, seeing a lot of sense in it.

“Yeah, man. You’re right.”

“You’re going to have to do so much damage control though.” Luca pointed out after some time.

“Yeah. No shit, Sherlock.”

The head of the mafia clan whose son and nephew had been killed was very displeased and kept

demanding for a reason why the heir to his mafia was killed by Luca, but Luca being who he was,

refused to give the man an audience.

“He’s not strong enough to attempt to attack my clan. And If he decides to join forces with another

mafia because of that, then that might just be the biggest and last mistake he’d make in his entire life,

because a move like that is definitely taking him out.

When the man tried everything in him to get an audience with Luca, which was arranged by me

because I knew the man wouldn’t give it a rest until he exchanges some words directly with Luca, at

least.

His first wrong move though, was accusing Luca of murder right in his face and demanding why he did

that. It was obvious that he regretted his slip up instantly seeing as fear filled up his face when Luca

rose to his feet and inched towards him.

“I should have prolonged their deaths. I should have made them beg for death before finally giving it to

them. Do you know the kind of monsters you raised? Boys who have no respect for women, boys who

are a threat to the society, that’s who your boys are. It was high time I rid the society of those trash.”

When Luca finally stopped in front of the man, a dark grin spread out on his face as he continued. “If

you really hate yourself, I’d like to dare you attempt to bring war to my mafia.”
