Chapter 14
Chapter 14
Alastor raised his hand and massaged the spot between his brows, obviously impatient. “Don’t tell Anastasia what happened tonight.”
Sienna looked at Felicia before turning her gaze to Alastor. “Alastor… Did you do something wrong to Anastasia?“
Felicia looked at Sienna provocatively. “What kind of upbringing did the Lawson family instill? How can a sister enter hier brother–in–law’s bedroom to take a shower? How shameless.”
“Shameless? You’re the one who’s shameless! Why else are you going home with a married man at this hour?” Sienna accused Felicia in a sharp voice.
“I advise you to dress properly. You’re so bad at seducing men Felicia naturally looked down on Sienna.
As her intention was exposed, Sienna rushed forward madly and pushed Felicia.
In the surveillance footage, the two could be seen quarreling and fighting with each other intensely.
On the other hand. Anastasia was in a foreign country, sitting on the couch and eating popcorn, and looking at the surveillance footage with mixed feelings.
Was she upset? Of course, it was impossible for her not to be.
But did she find it ridiculous? She most certainly did.
As someone who extremely despised noise and enjoyed silence, this scene was utterly torturous for Alastor.
Anastasia smiled ironically as she looked at Alastor who was leaning on the couch.
He somehow looked like he was an outsider watching the drama unfold before him, as if the quarrel between the two women had nothing to do with him.
Ring!
Anastasia’s phone rang. It was a text message from Alastor.
It read: [You told Sienna to come to our house? You’re going a little overboard this time.
Alastor was questioning her.
Anastasia threw her phone aside and pretended that she did not receive the message.
Seeing that Anastasia did not reply to the message, Alastor kicked the coffee table in front of him.
This made the cups on the table fall to the ground and break into pieces, making a crisp sound.
“Get out,” Alastor instructed both Sienna and Felicia to leave.
Alastor seemed really annoyed.
Both Felicia and Sienna were startled.
“Alastor…” Felicia called Alastor’s name coquettishly. “She clearly came here to seduce you on purpose.”
“Alastor, what exactly is your relationship with her?” Sienna asked as her expression spelled the words, “I’m going to tell Anastasia about this.”
“You can ask your sister.” Alastor’s voice was low.
Anastasia’s heart skipped a beat when she heard that from the surveillance footage.
She seemed to have underestimated Alastor’s cleverness.
From the moment Sienna appeared at home, Alastor might have already guessed what she was plotting.
Anastasia took a deep breath and was inexplicably scared. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
To be honest, she was afraid of Alastor.
Alastor was good at everything. As long as she was obedient and did not cross his bottom line, he would play the role of a good husband to the end. But if she crossed his bottom line….
Anastasia did not want to know what would happen to her.
With the Lopez family’s influence in Hork, Anastasia could not afford to mess with him.
However, she no longer cared.
Since she had to die sooner or later, she had nothing to be afraid of
“Alastor… You mean, Anastasia already knows our relationship?” Felicia asked nervously.
Alastor ignored Felicia and turned toward the living room, looking for the surveillance camera.
Obviously, it was not only that Anastasia knew Alastor well after four years of marriage.
Alastor also knew Anastasia well.
“Anastasia…” Kimberly panicked when she saw Alastor spot the camera in the corner. “He seems to know.”
“I wasn’t planning to hide it anyway. He will see such a big camera sooner or later.” Anastasia smiled bitterly.
Anastasia’s fingers were tingling all the way even when the screen turned black.
The truth was exposed after all.
“What are you going to do next?” Kimberly was a little scared for Anastasia.
“If I guessed correctly, a divorce agreement will be waiting for me on the day I return home,” Anastasia said in a nonchalant tone while leaning on the couch.
However, the tears at the corner of her eyes had already betrayed her.
Did she really not care?
Of course she cared.
Ring! Anastasia’s phone rang again.
It was another message from Alastor.
It read: [Anastasia, have I spoiled you too much these years?]
Even though they were just a few words on a screen, Anastasia could feel the strong sense of oppression oozing from the
message.
